Digesting Fat: Summary

A meal passes through the stomach into the duodenum, where the pancreas adds pancreatic lipase, and on to the small intestine. The small intestine produces chylomicrons, which enter fat tissue and muscle. A chylomicron remnant from each tissue then enters the liver and passes through to the gallbladder, which produces bile acids that enter the duodenum.
