Deer Antler Regeneration

Deer antlers are unusual because they are a mammalian organ that can fully regenerate.

The molecular mechanisms involved are still unclear, but there is evidence for activation of the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway at the growth zone of the antlers during regeneration.
