Mouse Fingertip Regeneration

Mice are capable of limited regeneration of the fingertips under appropriate conditions. If some nail bed material remains after an amputation, the fingertip can regenerate (* below). If a digit is amputated behind the nail bed, no regeneration occurs (arrows below).
