Instructions for use

  • Select the “Let's Go!” button to advance to the module, or use the navigation menu on the top to select one of the modules.
  • Advance content on a page by scrolling using a mouse or using the vertical scroll bar. Advance pages and modules by selecting the navigation buttons at the sides of each page, selecting tabs in the top navigation menu, or selecting next page at the end of the page text.
  • Select the arrow at the top right of maps to expand the map to full screen or collapse the map to the original size.

Browsers and devices

This interactive resource is optimized for use on desktops as well as modern tablets and smartphones. The application is supported by the most recent versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari web browsers. For the best experience, we recommend using the Google Chrome web browser.

Accessibility compliance

This resource partially meets criteria* of the final rule for Section 508 of the National Rehabilitation Act, which requires the conformance of content to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level 2.0 AA Success Criteria. For more information, see the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Overview. Conformance verified via Axe, Attest, WebAim WAVE, and manual testing.

*The majority of components of this resource have been designed, optimized and/or tested for accessibility compliance. Compliance can be assumed except for limitations listed in the Accessibility limitations section below.

  • focus on some pages with the VoiceOver and TalkBack assistive technologies
  • embedded external content such as Vimeo
  • circumstances of fewer than two ways of accessing the content pages
  • maximum scale for zoom
  • color contrast ratios not maintained when multiple map layers are selected
