Interactive Exploration vs. Presentation Mode

The default mode for this video case study is an interactive exploration that contains automatic pause points with embedded questions. This mode is recommended for individual or group work, as students can answer questions at their own pace and save their progress.

Educators can also use this video in Presentation Mode, which does not contain embedded questions. This mode is recommended when showing the video to the entire class. The video will stop at the same time points as in the Interactive Exploration mode, so that educators can ask their own discussion questions.

Printing and PDF Files

After completing the video case study in the Interactive Exploration mode, students will get a report of all their answers. They will also be able to write additional explanations at the end, in case they want to revise their answers.

The report may be printed by clicking on the “Print” button.

Some browsers also support printing the report to PDF files. Select the “Save as PDF” option (wording may vary) from your browser’s print dialog box, then select a location to save it on your computer. You may then email and/or print the saved PDF file.

Saving Progress on a Single Computer or Tablet

If students always work on this video case study using the same computer and browser, either at home or at school, their progress will be saved automatically as they move through the case study.

If students leave the case study and later return to it on the same browser and computer, they will be prompted to “Resume” or “Start Over.”
