This short tutorial explores and compares the mechanisms of artificial selection and natural selection.
Artificial selection is the process by which certain species, such as dogs, are domesticated. During artificial selection, breeders use selective mating to promote traits that are desirable to humans. In this Click & Learn, students learn the genetic mechanisms of artificial selection and the similarities with the mechanisms of natural selection.
