All Proteins Are Carefully Regulated

A cell is continually producing and destroying proteins in a careful balancing act. It is important to have enough protein for its needs but not so much that the system is overwhelmed or wastes energy.

In eukaryotes, a multistep system has evolved to carefully regulate how much protein is made and destroyed. In this feature, we will concentrate on how the process of making proteins is regulated.
